Our Flagship Program

The Vitesse ‘flagship’ 16-month Software Engineering program (optionally reduced to 12 months) – shares time between the university classroom and industry co-op work placements. Often, for successful Vitesse applicants, both the tuition fees and work term salary are covered by the employer.

The university re-skilling™ component reflects input from the university advisor and company mentor – ensuring the training will allow the individual to immediately and strategically apply this learning not only to their co-op assignment but seamlessly to full-time work with that employer. This applied and interactive model allows individuals and industry to maintain a competitive edge.

Currently in Phase VI, Vitesse Software Engineering students have finished their first academic and work terms and are beginning their second academic term.

The Vitesse Re-Skilling Program is continuing to prove to be an excellent tool to re-skill company employees and avoid costly recruiting. The re-skilling programs help ensure that our clients' valued employees have the appropriate skill set for the dynamic marketplace.

Sponsor companies continue to strongly endorse and support the Vitesse Re-Skilling Program. In view of the current re-structuring occurring in the high-tech industry, we have decided to postpone the "External Call for Applications" for the January 2002 semester until a later date and are concentrating our efforts on in-house re-skilling. A further update regarding an External Call for Applications will be provided in May 2002. Please check our website for these updates and news about our new programs.
